Infographic: craft beer in Australia

At Best Beer HQ we’re constantly inundated with emails from people offering us the use of their infographics. Lucky us.

More often than not the infographics we’re sent are a shameless attempt by a business to get some free advertising. “We feel this infographic will be beneficial to your readers”, they’ll say, “and if you do decide to publish it, all I request is that you provide a link to my website.”

We’d much prefer these businesses sent us their beer to review instead.

Still, every once in a while we do receive an infographic that we like – like this one about the craft beer revolution in Australia. Who knew that Australia had only 11 breweries in 1990? Now, with the craft beer revolution in full swing, Australia has 130 breweries.

The growth of the Australian craft beer sector comes in spite of beer consumption hitting a 65-year low in 2012. Pretty interesting, eh?
